Bulletproof Love - The (damn) End

Category: , , By Glamour Diva & galaxyMafia

"I can't hate you. . .though I have tried. I still really, really love you. . .love is stronger than pride. . ."

"Stronger Than Pride" lyrics and music by Sade

Gabrielle stared at him in disbelief.

She wanted to run away but she couldn’t move, her feet felt glued to the floor. What had happened to the Wentworth she knew, she thought, the man who would kill himself before even thinking about hurting her?

She hardly knew the man standing before her now.

“Say something dammit!,” he barked.

Gabrielle sighed, “And what should I say to that? Am I your prisoner now?”

It was Wentworth’s time to sigh. “Why are you always so muthafuckin’ literal?”

“And why do you not remember that I hate it when you cuss me out?” she said, lunging for him.

Wentworth grabbed her hands before she could make contact. In one quick move he yanked her hands behind her back. They were now pressed against each other, heaving chest to heaving chest.

“Kiss me,” he demanded.

“Fuck you,” she sneered and spat in his face.

Wentworth's smile was wicked. He picked Gabrielle up and threw her over his shoulder.

"Put me down!" She screamed, pummeling his back with her fists but he didn’t flinch as he took the stairs two at a time. He kicked in several doors before finding the right one – her bedroom. Once there he tossed her on the bed. Gabrielle tried to scurry away but he caught her by the ankles and pulled her back across the bed.

“Let me go you sick sonofabitch,” she screamed, kicking him in the throat.

Wentworth was temporarily stunned but immediately regained his composure and jumped on the bed, straddling her. Wentworth slapped her again then grabbed her arms, pinning them over her head.

“You’ve been through some tough shit today. What kind of man would I be if I didn’t take advantage of you and the state you’re in right now?”

“I’m not in a state Went,” she said, struggling against his grasp, “I mean, not anymore,” she said as she kneed him in the back.

Wentworth cried out in pain but he didn’t release her. “You haven’t called me Went in months,” he said, “The only time you ever called me that was when you wanted me to lay all this dick on you,” he said with an evil grin.

She could feel his erection lingering between her breasts. She’d forgotten what a big boy Wentworth was. He was always a “grower, not a shower”. Against her better judgment she relaxed against his grip. “If I do this will you leave me alone…forever?”

“No deals,” he growled, “I want you now. All of you.”

“What the hell does that mean?” she said, stiffening again.

"You remember Barbados don’t you, Gabrielle? You remember the night I made you come six times in a row?”

Gabrielle glared at him, “Kiss my ass. I’ll never let you make me come again.”

“You ‘bout to come right now, bitch,” Wentworth laughed, as he ripped her blouse almost completely from her body.

Gabrielle screamed and kicked but Wentworth was unrelenting in his perverted, angry passion. He reached for the waistband of her skirt, pulling with such force that Gabrielle rose up off the bed.

“Stop squirming,” he said, scowling, “On second thought, keep squirming. I always loved the way you moved underneath me when I fucked you.”

Gabrielle yanked her hand away and slapped him, dragging her nails down the side of his face, drawing blood. She wanted to kill him, to cut his heart out but her body was betraying her. She felt herself growing wet, anticipating his cock inside her.

Wentworth felt her body relaxing, responding to him in spite of her protests. He took a chance and released her other hand. She didn’t move; just as he suspected. He unbuckled his brown belt slowly, teasingly. He slid it off and then used it to bind her wrists to the headboard. He stood up from the bed and unzipped his pants, letting them fall casually to the floor. Wentworth was so hard now that over half of his cock was sticking out of the hole in the front of his black boxer briefs. He slowly slid his underwear off then crawled back onto the bed. He straddled her again, this time sitting just over her pubis; grinding his erection against her.

Gabrielle moaned but refused to look at him, staring up at the ceiling. Wentworth grabbed her face, forcing her to look at him while he continued to grind against her. “Look at me bitch,” he whispered. With his other hand he reached between her legs and ripped he panties off. He shoved three fingers inside her pussy. Gabrielle gasped with a mixture of pleasure and pain.

“You’re so wet Gabby. Tell me how you want me to fuck you.”

She couldn’t hold back any longer. “Just shut the hell up asshole and put that talented tongue to work.”

Wentworth chuckled mirthlessly, “No one ever got me as hot and no one tastes as good as you either Gabby,” he said as he took in the pungent aroma of her sex. Wentworth crawled between Gabrielle’s legs and placed them over his shoulders. At first he just ran his nose up and down between her lips then eventually licking the lips until they parted all by themselves. Gabrielle squirmed and arched her back so he knew he was on the right track. Next he opened her lips to reveal her shiny, wet clitoris. Gabrielle called out at that moment, the air hitting her clit sending shockwaves through her body. Wentworth flicked her clitoris with the tip of his tongue and watched her shiver. He didn’t want to move too fast so he moved down and licked the inside of her lips, occasionally poking his tongue into her vagina. Was it possible that she tasted better than he remembered? He decided he would ponder this at another time as Gabrielle was squirming almost out of reach.

Wentworth reached underneath her and cupped her ass in his hands, holding her still. He licked, sucked and kissed her pussy lips until his face was wet with her juice. Paying no mind to her discomfort, he pulled Gabrielle closer to him then flipped her over so that she was now on top of him.

Gabrielle called out in pain from the belt biting into her flesh but she didn’t miss a beat. She placed her weight against the headboard and proceeded to fuck Wentworth’s face. The sight of that pretty face buried deep in her pussy was almost too much for her. She came quickly but she wasn’t done. She knew she had another one inside her and that Wentworth and his devilish tongue would find it. He was holding her hips tightly as she rocked back and forth on his face. When she felt him use his thumbs to pull her lips apart she almost came again. When he sucked her entire clit into his mouth and rolled it back and forth across his tongue…she did.

“Oh fuck yes Went! Yes! Yes!”

Wentworth slid from underneath her and untied the belt to release her. He reached out to pull her close to him but she recoiled at his touch. Wentworth was not deterred; he grabbed her around the waist and pulled her to him. He brought her face to his and kissed her, pulling her even closer until they were skin on skin. He held her trembling body until her breathing and evened out. He kissed her quivering lips again. He kissed her neck and her chest, working his way to her succulent breasts. He gently licked each of her dark brown nipples until they stood at attention.

Despite herself, Gabrielle began to move against him.

He felt her snake her hand down between them and encircle his still raging cock with her hand. The faster she stroked him, the faster he lapped at her nipples.

“You want me to stick this hard cock inside you baby?” he purred as she gripped his member firmly.

“So you’re giving me a choice now?” she snarked.

Wentworth stared deeply into her eyes, “You’ve always had a choice Gabby.”

“The condoms are in the nightstand…”

Wentworth reluctantly released Gabrielle long enough to open the nightstand drawer to retrieve the condom. He moved between Gabrielle’s legs and placed the condom on his penis. He lowered himself to kiss her then slowly inserted his throbbing cock into her pussy. Wentworth gasped as his body melted into hers. Gabrielle’s legs were so tight around his waist that me could barely move. She tried to kiss him but the sensations were so strong that she ended up panting directives into his mouth; harder, more to the left, slower, don’t stop.

Wentworth knew he couldn’t stop, not until his body gave out. All the anger and resentment and yes even love had had built up inside him for far too long. He wanted her to feel every once of the desire and desperation he’d felt for the last few months.

He wanted to stay inside her forever, so deep inside her that she’d become a part of him and never leave him again.

The room reverberated with her screams of ecstasy and the deafening sound of Wentworth’s rapturous yelp of satisfaction.

Moments later, while basking in the afterglow, Wentworth stroked her cheek gently, and softly kissed her forehead. “I never meant to hurt you. . .I never felt so out of control. The thought of you leaving me is too much for me to bear. I have to have you in my life. I love you so much.”

“Wentworth, sweetheart,” Gabby smiled, running her finger down the side of his face. “You’ll get over it. . .”

The Damn end

Bulletproof Love VIII

Category: , , By Glamour Diva & galaxyMafia

This one is sort of long. . .I apologize in advance but we gotta get this story over with before the show comes back on. . .so expect another installment this week. . .

This is dedicated to Kati! Thanks for your nice comments.

"Love lies bleeding. . .in my hands again. . ."
(I always liked "Hemorrhage" by Fuel even before it was sung on American Idol)

Shaking, his heart pounding in his head, Wentworth rolled slowly away from Gabby.
Sweat rolled down his face as the acrid smell of smoke and gunpowder burned his nose. Moonlight from the French doors cast a wide beam of pale, lavender light across his body.
Breathing laboriously, he looked down at himself.
There was blood all over his chest.
Terrified, he scrambled to his knees, crawling over to Gabrielle.
No. . .please God, no!
With trembling hands, he turned her over, looked down at her.
And there is was. . .
A dark, wet stain spread across her stomach, the smell of it cloying, sickening, and immediately, he knew what had happened. . .
What he had done.
A scream erupted deep in his chest, manifesting itself from the depths of his heart but he forced it back, turned his heart away from her, telling himself that he couldn’t lose control of his emotions. . .
He couldn’t fall apart, not now. He had to do something, he knew. There was a procedure to follow, he’d been told. . .there were instructions in the event of a situation such as this.
A situation such as this. . .
How the fuck was he supposed to think of Gabrielle as some kind of unfortunate situation to be dealt with. . .she wasn’t a situation. . .
Gabrielle was his soul, she was in every fiber of his being, in the middle of all his details.
And now here she was, lying on the floor. . .shot in the stomach, bleeding. . .
If he didn’t do something soon. . .
She would cease to exist, and then what would happen to him?
Frustrated, confused, scared, he backed away from her body, struggled to his feet. Nervous and wary, haunted by the shadows cast throughout the room from the lightening, he walked over to the French doors, peered out at the tropical foliage.
He had to calm down, start thinking rationally.
Except there was nothing rational about Gabrielle bleeding on the floor. . .
Because of him.
Rage imploded within him, and before he realized it, he’d slammed his fist through one of the glass panes of the French door, and just as quickly, he yanked it out, broken glass shards scraping his knuckles, leaving thin bloody lines on his hand.
Pain came to life as his hand throbbed.
But, Wentworth didn’t care. . .he needed the pain, needed the distraction so he could do what had to be done, so he could remember the procedures, follow the established instructions.
Swallowing, he took his cell phone from his jacket, opened it and stared at it.
There was a number he was supposed to call. . .what was it. . .what was it. . .?
From the depths of his memory, the number came to him, and he punched it in.
Wiping the blood from his hand on his pants, he listened to the phone ringing. . .
Slowly, he turned, staring at Gabrielle, and his fingers found their way to her blood on his shirt.
“Yes. . .?” The voice on the phone said, terse, unyielding.
“I have a problem,” Wentworth said, looking at Gabby’s blood on his fingers.
“What have you done?”
“I shot. . .” Wentworth hesitated, faltering, replaying the scene from moments ago in his mind, trying to figure out what the hell he could have done differently, wondering how he could have prevented it.
“What have you done?”
Steeling himself, Wentworth took a deep breath. “I shot her. . .”
“You shot who?”
“I shot. . .Gabrielle. . .”
“How did that happen?”
“I didn’t mean to do it,” Wentworth insisted, looking over at Gabrielle. “It was an accident.”
“That’s unfortunate,” came the reply. “However, Wentworth, when you make mistakes, you have to clean them up.”
Terror settled in Wentworth’s gut, cold and hard. “What are you asking me to do?”
“I’m not asking you anything. This is an order. Make it look as though they did this to her. . .”
“No. . .”
“It needs to appear as though you were never there.”
“I can’t do that to her.”
“You don’t really have any other option. When the police get there, they should find a bullet right between her eyes.”
His blood turned to ice.
No. . .there was no way he could shoot Gabrielle between the eyes.
He couldn’t kill her. . .
Because he didn’t know if he could live in a world, knowing that Gabrielle was gone, lost to him forever, lost because of him.
“Please don’t disappoint us, Wentworth,” were the final words before the disconnect.
Wentworth dropped the phone, went over to Gabrielle, knelt down beside her.
He remembered the first time he’d seen her. Their respective handlers had paired them together, thinking they would make a good match, that they might compliment each other and accomplish the mission.
They worked for two different teams, groups that normally opposed each other, sought the others’ demise but, for some reason, these two rival groups decided to turn their backs of their differences and work together.
Wentworth hadn’t been happy about working with her. He did his best work alone. But, he hadn’t been given a choice, and he resolved to make the best of things, to use Gabrielle for her knowledge and expertise and then discard her. . .
But, what was it they said about the best laid plans.
His heart had other ideas the day she introduced herself to him.
The heart wants what it wants, he thought, gazing down at her.
But, will it settle for what it can get?
“Wentworth. . .” Gabrielle moaned.
He tried to harden his heart, tried not to let the sound and the sight of her affect him, rule his emotions and decisions.
Wentworth knew that shooting Gabby in the face would be impossible.
But. . .what if he just left her there, what if –
“Wentworth. . .” Gabby said, her voice weak, raspy. “Please. . .help me. . .”
Indecision clawed at the walls of his stomach, igniting a raging terror within him that threatened to consume him.
If he left her, she would die. . .and he would be free of her.
But, that was the problem. . .he didn’t want to be free of her. If he saved her life, he knew she would eventually burn him, leave him as a pile of ashes, sweep him away. . .
He didn’t care.
Instinctively, he grabbed her, pulling her into his arms, cradling her.
“Wentworth. . .”
“Don’t worry,” he whispered. “I’m going to help you. . .I won’t let you die.”

It was only a half an hour but it felt like a lifetime to Wentworth as he drove Gabrielle to the house of a man known as Asani, a man who would never be a friend but, who would help Wentworth, someone he could trust. . .somewhat.
Wentworth parked his car in the driveway of Asani’s home, a large, brick two-story dwelling, comfortable and inviting, the kind of home he and Gabrielle would never settle in, he knew. Wentworth got out, leaving Gabby in the backseat and walked to the front door.
Jittery, longing for a cigarette, he rang the doorbell.
Once, twice, jabbing it incessantly in his impatience, worried that Gabby may have already bled too much, that maybe he shouldn’t have moved her, that maybe –
The door opened.
Asani stared at him, wild-eyed.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” Asani demanded.
“I need your help,” Wentworth said, scowling at the diminutive Spaniard.
“Fuck you,” Asani spat.
Wentworth grabbed him by the throat, slammed him against the doorframe.
“Calm the fuck down,” Asani sputtered, clawing at Wentworth’s hand around his neck. “My wife and kids are in the living room watching Bambi, for crisssakes!”
“I said I need your help,” Wentworth repeated, relaxing his hold a fraction.
“I don’t do charity work.”
“You owe me,” Wentworth told him.
“I paid you back,” Asani told him. “I don’t owe you shit.”
“Unless you want your wife and kids to know about your extracurricular activities in San Juan – ”
“What do you need?” Asani asked, bitterly resigned.
“Come with me.”

At the car, Wentworth opened the back door, then stepped aside.
“I need you to help her.”
“What?” Asani asked, peering into the car. “Wait a minute. . .what the hell is this shit? Is that who I think it is?”
“She was shot in the stomach and she’s bleeding.”
“Forget it,” Asani shook his head, backing away from the car. “I’m not getting involved in this.”
“Listen, I’m giving you a choice,” Wentworth said, his patience obliterated. “You can either help her. . .or you can be shot in the head while your wife and your kids watch.”

Moments later, Gabrielle was lying on a make-shift operating table in the basement of Asani’s home, a secret room the Spanish surgeon had built beneath the greenhouse in his backyard to take care of incidents such as these.
Wentworth knew that Asani was on loan to The Foundation from the CIA, a fugitive from Barcelona, wanted for questioning in the deaths of four high-level members of the Spanish Interior Ministry.
In exchange for his help in identifying Iraqi terrorists hiding in Pamplona, the Central Intelligence Agency had given Asani refuge. The Foundation had further provided the former emergency medial physician a way to continue his practice.
“I’m not going to be able to do this if your hovering over me,” Asani griped, moving around the table where Gabby lay unconscious, hooked up to a portable respirator. Asani had already placed EKG patches on her chest and had placed a blood pressure cuff and pulse oximeter, to measure oxygen, on her.
Wentworth watched as Asani washed his hands in a stainless steel sink the corner of the room, scrubbing each of his fingers methodically.
“She doesn’t have a lot of time,” Wentworth said, impatient. “She’s lost a lot of blood, you need to operate on her now.”
“Do you want me to give her an infection?” Asani asked over his shoulder. “If you want me to save her, I need all conditions sterile, including this room. That means you need to leave.”
“I’m not going anywhere,” Wentworth told him. “Now, get over here and get this fucking bullet out of her.”
Sighing, Asani shook the water from his hands, then pulled on his gloves. “How the hell did she get shot anyway?” he asked, walking over to the tray of surgical instruments set up next to the table.
“That doesn’t matter,” Wentworth said, anxious, watching as Asani placed an IV in Gabby’s arm. “What are you doing?”
“Putting her to sleep,” Asani said. “I don’t want this bitch to wake up screaming while I’m in the middle of the procedure.”
“Have you administered anesthesia before?” Wentworth asked.
Asani stared at him. “This bitch caused a lot of problems for you. What the fuck do you care if she lives or dies?”
“Just take the bullet out of her,” Wentworth said.
Asani put a mask over his face, then picked up a scalpel. “You shot her, didn’t you?”
Wentworth said nothing as the scalpel hovered just below Gabrielle’s navel.
“Make sure your hands are steady, doctor,” Wentworth told him. “If she dies, so do you.”

“You shot me, didn’t you. . .”
“It was an accident.”
“There are no such things as accidents,” Gabby said, staring at him, touching the bandages wrapped around her stomach. “You wanted me dead.”
“If I wanted you dead you’d have a bullet between your eyes right now,” Wentworth said, stoic. He sat in a chair next to the bed she was laying on. He added, “I saved your life.”
“Am I supposed to thank you?”
“You always were an ungrateful bitch.”
“I don’t think you want gratitude from me,” Gabby said, looking around the room. It was beige, boring, nondescript. There was a wardrobe, a bureau chest, two night table flanking the queen-sized bed. There was a wide bay window across from the door, its dark wooden shutters closed, blocking the light, bathing the room in a quiet dimness. “You want me to love you, don’t you?”
“I want you to tell me what they told me to put a bullet in your head?”
“What are you talking about?” Gabby asked, her eyes on the door, her mind churning, trying to come up with a way to escape.
Shit. . .as if she could in the condition she was in.
She was groggy, half-confused and could barely move.
“My rep from The Foundation wanted me to shoot you between the eyes, which as you know, is a trademark of The Consortium.”
“So what?” She asked, wincing from the pain of trying to sit up.
“So why did they want it to look like someone from The Consortium killed you?”
“How the hell should I know?” Gabby said. “I work for The Consortium, not The Foundation.”
“Are you in trouble?”
“Why the hell would you care?” She said, leaning back against the pillows, exhausted.
“You shot me and damn near let me bleed to death.”
“Let me help you,” Wentworth picked up her hand.
“Why?” Gabby said, snatching her hand away. “So both of us can be killed?”
“What did you do?”
“You wouldn’t understand.”
“Gabby, I want to help you.”
“You can help me by staying away from me,” she told him, looking away.
“I tried to stay away from you,” he said. “I couldn’t.”
“Try harder.”
“I can’t do that,” he said. “I love you.”
“And that’s what going to get you killed,” she said. “You picked the wrong girl to
fall in love with. You should have treated me like all the other girls. You should have just screwed me and cut your losses.”
“You’re not like the other girls.”
“And you’re not like the other boys,” she told him. “But, I wish you were.”
“Gabrielle. . .”
“Please go away. . .” she said, turning away her head from him.
Moments later, she heard the door close and knew that he was gone.
She hoped that he wouldn’t come back. That he would leave her forever, give up his ridiculous fantasy of the two of them together, and let her go.
Hot, angry tears slid down her face.
Sometimes, she didn’t think it was fair. What the hell was the point of falling in love if you couldn’t be with the person you were in love with?
The truth was, she could never tell Wentworth how she really felt about him. If she admitted her real feelings, if she told him that she loved him, he’d never go away. . .and for his sake, she needed him to go away.
As much as she wanted to be with him, she knew she couldn’t be selfish, she couldn’t risk his life for a year or two of happiness. . .and that was all they would have before The Consortium caught up with them and shot them both between the eyes.
Gabrielle sighed. The problem was, Wentworth had become increasingly obsessed with his fantasy of the two of them together, and she knew he wasn’t going to give it up.
And that was why, she thought, forcing herself to sit up despite the discomfort, she would have to leave him.

In the living room of the apartment, Wentworth found Asani sitting on one of the white couches, drinking malt scotch.
“Can I go home now?” Asani asked.
It was a hour before dawn.
The bullet had been extracted successfully, and following the crude emergency surgery, Wentworth had entreated Asani to help him move Gabby to one of the many “safe houses” that The Foundation had set up for its operatives.
“Listen,” Wentworth said. “I need you to watch Gabrielle. . .make sure than she doesn’t leave. . .”
“I don’t have time to baby sit this bitch,” Asani protested. “Why can’t you watch her? Where are you going?”
“Los Angeles,” Wentworth answered, grabbing the pack of cigarettes and the lighter from the coffee table.
“L.A.?” Asani stared at him. “For what?”
“Jay Leno,” Wentworth took a cigarette out, light it, and inhaled deeply, relishing the feel of nicotine and smoke deep in his throat, dispersing throughout his chest.
“Jay Leno?”
Wentworth exhaled. “It’s for the show.”
“My wife watches that crazy bullshit,” Asani shook his head. “She likes that one guy, the one who plays your brother. The big, bald one.”
“Dominic Purcell,” Wentworth nodded, taking another deep drag, blowing it out. “He’s a good guy.”
“You think you could get his autograph for my wife?”
“I’ll see what I can do,” Wentworth told him. “Just keep an eye on Gabby. She’s an escapist. She’ll go to great lengths to get away.”
“Don’t worry,” Asani said. “Even if she does leave. . .I’ll know how to find her.”

Two days later. . .
Wary, Gabrielle watched the small, dark-haired man as he prepared the syringe, placing the long needle into a small clear bottle of liquid, extracting the liquid into the hollow core of the needle.
That was why she was always so lethargic, why she couldn’t seem to get up, why she had no concept of time anymore. . .what day was it? And where the hell was she?
Gabrielle’s eyes were trained on the needle in the man’s hand as he turned to her and smiled. “This won’t hurt a bit.”
Swiftly, Gabrielle clamped her right hand down on the his wrist, stopping his movement towards her arm. “You are not putting that needle in me again!”
Gabrielle grabbed the syringe with her left hand, stabbed the needle deep into the man’s shoulder.
“You bitch!”
She kicked the bed sheets away, and leaped forward out of the bed.
The man screamed, lunging at Gabrielle.
Fighting exhaustion, summoning her reserves, Gabrielle hit him in the face, a stinging right cross to the jaw. The man stumbled back, his arms flying, crashing against the bed table.
Wincing in pain, holding her stomach, Gabby stumbled over towards the man.
She kicked him in the stomach. “Who are you? Where am I?”
“Ask your boyfriend,” the man sputtered, wheezing as he crouched in the fetal position on the floor.
Shock and anger slammed into her, making her dizzy. “Wentworth told you to drug me?”
“He told me to watch you,” the man coughed. “He told me not to let you leave.”
“That motherfucker!” She yelled, stumbling towards the door.
“It doesn’t matter where you go,” the man said, smiling as he panted, trying to catch his breath. “He’ll always find you. . .”
Terrified, knowing that the man was right, Gabrielle opened the door and ran out.

Three days later. . .
Gabrielle stood in the middle of her apartment on Lexington Avenue in Manhattan.
Everything was just as she’d left it. . .comfortable and familiar, the soft neutral tones warm and inviting.
It wasn’t home, it wasn’t Nebraska but, it was close, and for now, for a little while, it would have to do until she mapped out her next move.
Gingerly, she walked into the kitchen, where the phone was. She knew she was in a lot of trouble, she knew she’d fucked up when she hadn’t found those diamonds, when she’d found Wentworth Miller there instead. . .
Instinctively, her eyes went to an empty vase on the counter.
The vase was from Tiffany’s, a gift from Wentworth, for the flowers he’d bought her after some silly argument they’d had.
Tulips. Flown in from Holland. Beautiful tulips the color of vermillion.
Scowling at the memory, Gabby grabbed the vase and hurled it across the kitchen, enjoying the sound of it shattering against the wall, watching as glass shards crashed to the floor.
She left the kitchen, and went out into the living room.
Fuck Wentworth Miller and fuck those stupid tulips, she thought, sitting on the couch. . .
The same couch they’d made love on. . .
Gabrielle jumped up, angry at herself. She didn’t want to think about Wentworth, she couldn’t. As she paced back and forth in front of the couch, trying to stop herself from going back in time, angry with herself.
Wentworth Miller was in her past, and she never wanted to relive him.
She didn’t want to have anything to do with him. He’d shot her, drugged her, and tried to keep her hostage. He was a sick, pathetic, obsessed asshole and she wanted to kill him for what he’d done and she wished she’d never met him and. . .
Gabby sat down, looked at the little scar she’d discovered on her right index finger two days ago.
. . .and she missed Wentworth.
She couldn’t stop thinking about him. . .
She wondered where he was, and what he was doing and if he was thinking about her. . .
She wondered –
The phone rang.
Gabrielle jumped up, rushed into the kitchen to answer it.
“Hello. . .” she said, hoping for just a moment that it might be Wentworth, and yet knowing that it wasn’t.
“Gabrielle, we’re very disappointed.”
Her stomach twisted. “I know but. . .you don’t understand. . .”
“We understand perfectly. And unfortunately, we have no choice but to inform you that your services will no longer be needed.
Gabrielle slammed the phone down, her heart slamming.
It was official.
She was a dead woman.

“How the hell did you let her get away?” Wentworth asked, his cell phone pressed to his ear as he sat down at a table at Starbucks.
He was back in Chicago, back to his phony life as the actor, back to rehearsals, and scripts, and shooting schedules and waiting around for the techs to set up the scene and getting up way too damn early in the morning.
“The bitch kicked me in the fucking stomach,” Asani said. “What the hell did you expect me to do? I couldn’t move.”
“You were supposed to keep her sedated,” Wentworth whispered, trying to ignore the stares and whispers. Now that “Prison Break” was officially a hit for FOX, people were staring to recognize him.
“She figured out what was going on,” Asani said. “She stuck me with my own needle.
“The next time I see you,” Wentworth said, smiling at the beautiful, dark haired woman who joined him at the table. “I’m gonna cut your fucking head off.”
“No need for histrionics,” Asani told him. “Remember, I know how to find her.”
“How?” Wentworth asked, looking at his companion.
She was a suitable decoy, a nice distraction. Vaguely, if wondered what people would think when they saw them together; he wondered if they would think that she meant anything to him.
“I put a tracking device in her right index finger,” Asani said. “I know exactly where she is.”

The next day. . .

Something moved. . .
Heart pounding in her ears, Gabby looked up from the suitcase she was packing.
What was that. . .?
She stood still, listening, terrified.
Had she really heard a noise? Or was she just nervous. . .?
Since receiving her death sentence, she’d hadn’t slept, or eaten. She’d spent every moment planning her escape, getting her affairs in order, tying up loose ends, wiring money to her offshore accounts, writing goodbye letters to family and friends.
She was going to have to disappear, to no longer exist if she was to survive.
Gabrielle sighed, tried to get herself together.
Maybe she was just over-reacting, maybe –
Footsteps on the carpet.
She knew that sound.
Her stomach clenched. Someone was in her apartment.
Slowly, quietly, she walked to her bedroom door, stepped out into the hallway that led to the living room.
Last night, as she’d feverishly mapped out the logistics of her escape, she’d sat on the couch, her gun in her lap.
Today, when she went to her bedroom to pack, she left the gun on the couch. . .
Gabby walked into the living room.
There was a man sitting on her couch, smiling at her.
He was holding a knife.

The doorman at Gabby’s building remembered Wentworth, and let him in.
As Wentworth got on the elevator, memories assailed him.
He saw himself in the past, clutching a vase filled with orange tulips.
He and Gabrielle had argued about something the day before, he couldn’t remember what now. . .
The elevator doors slid open, and Wentworth hurried out.
He headed down the hall towards Gabby’s apartment, his blood pressure dipping and spiking with each step.
Damn, he needed a cigarette. He was too damn nervous, too anxious. . .
He wanted to see her, needed to see her. . .
No. . .he just needed her.
With him, in his life.
That was what he was going to tell her.
As he walked closer towards her door, his heart dropped.
The door to her apartment was slightly ajar.
Something was wrong.
Wentworth ran to the door.

The man was on top of her, strong and heavy.
Holding her wrists over her head with one hand, he straddled her, pining her to the floor as she struggled to get away from him.
Gabrielle stared at the knife he held right above her face, tears streaming down her face.
This couldn’t be happening, she thought, nearly hysterical with fear and desperation as she tried in vain to break his hold on her wrists.
He couldn’t kill her, she couldn’t let him kill her! She had to fight this sonofabitch! She couldn’t give up!
Because if he stabbed her to death, it would destroy Wentworth.
Her death would devastate him, and she couldn’t let that happen, she couldn’t –
The knife was kicked from the man’s hand.
Gabrielle screamed, blood roaring in her head.
Terrified, she scrambled back towards the wall, watching as Wentworth kicked the man twice in the face.
Gabby shrank against the wall, confused and horrified.
What was happening? Why was Wentworth here? How did he know –
Wentworth pushed the man over onto his stomach, then knelt down next to him, and grabbed the man’s head.
In one, swift move, he twisted the man’s head. . .
Gabby heard the sickening crack of the man’s neck breaking.
Wentworth dropped the man, and stood, breathing deeply, staring at Gabrielle.
Shaking, she wiped the tears from her face, relief flooding her, making her limp. And yet, somehow, someway, she struggled to her feet, joy filling her, and she ran to him.
“Wentworth. . .” she cried out rushing to him. “Wentworth. . .I’m so glad – ”
He grabbed her before she could put her arms around him, and slapped her.
Stunned, lights dancing in front of her eyes, Gabby stumbled. “What are you doing. . .? Why – ”
Growling with rage, Wentworth slapped her a second time.
Gabrielle fell to the floor, fear and pain consuming her as Wentworth fell to his knees beside her, grabbing a handful of her hair, pulling her up.
“How many more times are you going to rip my fucking heart out and throw it in my face?” he said, yanking her hair.
“Stop it. . .” Gabrielle cried, staring into green eyes that were cold, lifeless, that she no longer recognized.
“Are you trying to destroy me?” he asked, his face inches from hers.
“Please. . .stop. . .” she begged him.
“That man was going to kill you,” Wentworth said. “Do you know what would have happened to me if he would have killed you?”
“Stop it. . .please. . .”
“My life would have been over. . .”
“Please. . .let me go. . .”
“I would have been useless, I would have been nothing!”
“You’re hurting me. . .”
“I would have begged somebody to cut my goddamn throat!”
“Stop. . .”
“I won’t let you leave me again,” Wentworth told her. “I will kill you before I let that happen.”

“Well, that’s too bad,” Gabrielle whispered. “But, you know what they say. You can’t always get what you want.”
“I want to know why you left me,” Wentworth said, his hand sliding along the inside her thigh.
“I want to know why you tried to kill me,” Gabrielle said, grabbing his hand, preventing his approach.
“That was a mistake,” he said, raising up, moving away from her.
She was too close, too intoxicating. She was starting to have a mesmerizing affect on him, making him wish and hope and long for all those old fantasies he’d given up, those dreams he’d had no businesses thinking he could ever have in the first place.
He didn’t have time to revisit their history, to rip apart those wounds that had already healed.
If he wasn’t careful, if he didn’t stop thinking about how much he wanted to fuck her and start focusing on his assignment, then everything would be fucked up.
“A mistake,” Gabby laughed softly. “It didn’t feel like a mistake. It felt more like a knife in my gut.”
“It was business,” Wentworth said, looking away from her, remembering the knife, remembering the way he’d thrust it into her.
“Business. . .?” Gabrielle scoffed.
“Weren’t you the one who told me not to take things so personally?” He asked, standing up, watching her inky silhouette in the dark kitchen, her outline illuminated by the lightning flashing chaotically, seconds before the fierce rumble of thunder.
In an instant, Wentworth sensed her coming at him.
Seconds later, she was slapping him, clawing at his face.
“Sonofabitch!” She hissed, her arms flying wildly. “You left me there to die!”
Wentworth grabbed her wrists, struggling as he tried to control her. “I wouldn’t have done that if you hadn’t set me up!”

For a moment, Gabrielle stopped fighting to free herself, bitter confusion enveloping her.
“What the hell are you talking about?”
“You told them I had the money,” Wentworth said, his hands firmly around her wrists.
“I never told them anything,” she said.
“You lying bitch,” he said, the harsh tone revealing a trace of sadness, regret.
“No,” Gabby said. “I promise you – ”
His slap across her face stunned her, causing her to stumble as he grabbed her arm, his fingers piercing her flesh, and slammed her up against a wall.
“I don’t want to hear about your fucking promises,” he told her. “You never keep them.”
“Are you going to hold that against me forever?” she asked him, trying to catch her breath as she moved away from him, keeping her back against the wall.
“I thought I could trust you.”
Lightning brighten the kitchen, and in the those scant seconds, Gabrielle saw, to her right, a set of eight French doors, beyond them outside a refuge of dense flowering shrubs and palm trees.
“I never gave you a reason not to trust me,” Gabrielle said, inching slowly against the wall, her eyes on the French doors.
“How about when you left me,” Wentworth said. “I think that was a good reason not to trust you.”
“I didn’t really have a choice,” Gabrielle said, mentally calculating the distance to the doors, trying to determine the best time to flee.
“What the fuck does that mean?”
“You were getting too close to me,” Gabby told him. “You were starting to fall in love.”
“So were you. . .”
“Not really.”
“You told me you loved me.”
“Well, Wentworth,” Gabby said, poised to run. “I didn’t expect you to believe me.”

Suddenly, Gabrielle was running, her footsteps echoing on the floor as she headed towards the French doors.
And just as sudden, Wentworth was after her. . .
Telling himself that it wasn’t worth it, to just let her go.
Fuck the assignment they’d given him. How the hell could do what they wanted him to do anyway?
He was behind her, his deep breaths mixing with the sound of her frenzied panting.
Telling himself that he couldn’t let her go.
That was his damn problem.
He couldn’t let Gabrielle go. And no matter what he did, what he accomplished, whatever fleeting glimpse of contentment and happiness he managed to obtain, he was always reminded that he didn’t have her, that he couldn’t have her. . .
Unless her caught her. . .
And right now, he had a feeling his chances were good.
Because, she could never outrun him.
He was gaining on her, could feel strands of her hair flying back into his face. . .

Gabrielle grabbed the gold door handles, yanked them, pulled the door open, and –
Wentworth’s arms encircled her from behind.
“Get off me!” she yelled, trying to break his hold as he dragged her away from the doors.
But, she was so damn tired, her muscles aching, her limbs weak.
She was tired of struggling against him. . .and tired of struggling with her feelings for him. Admittedly, she wanted him and she knew how easy it would be to just give in, and give up, and let him make love to her but. . .
She wasn’t stupid.
She had to stay away from him.
“Stop running away from me,” he whispered, his lips against her neck as his hands circled around her waist.
“What are you doing?” She asked, alarmed, her fingers moving over his.
“I want you to stay with me,” he told her.
“No,” she told him, shaking her head. “We don’t belong together. We’re never going to be together again. You have to accept that.”
“I’m afraid I can’t do that,” he told her, his mouth moving down the side of her neck.
Shuddering in his embrace, Gabrielle fought to keep herself from giving in.
A huge part of her wanted to just fall into his arms.
But, she couldn’t.
And it killed her, knowing that he could never know how much she wanted to be with him.
Nevertheless, she had to be pragmatic.
And she had to protect him.
If she stayed with Wentworth, they would kill him. They didn’t have to promise her that, she knew they would. And they would make her watch.
“And I don’t think you can, either,” Wentworth told her. “I know how you feel about me.”
“You don’t know a damn thing,” she said.
“I know that you still love me.”
“I never loved you,” she said, pulling away, turning to face him.
“Gabrielle. . .”
Deftly, remembering his many secrets, she dropped to her knees, grabbed his ankle, and yanked.
“What the fuck – ”
As he crashed to the floor, Gabrielle pushed his pant leg up, her hands moving over the gun in his leg holster.
Before she could point it at him, he was on top of her again, his hands closing around hers, trying to get the gun away from her.
“Are you going to shoot me with my own gun?” he asked, wrestling with her.
“If that’s the only way I can get away from you, I will,” she told him, her finger caressing the trigger as she fought to hold on to the gun.
“Stop fighting what you feel for me,” he told her.
“You have to get over me,” she told him.
“I already told you I can’t,” he said. “I love you. . .”
“That was your biggest mistake, you never should have - ”
The gunshot was loud, almost deafening. . .

Bulletproof Love - part 6

Category: , , By Glamour Diva & galaxyMafia

Hey guys. . .once again, thanks for reading. You might notice that my posts don't seem as long. Well. . .I listened when you said you wanted me to keep up the tension. . .

"Are you still mad that I gave up long before you did?"
- humbly borrowed from "Are you still mad", written and performed by Alanis Morrissette

Wentworth was quiet, caught off guard.
“I’ll never let you break my heart again. . .” Wentworth said.
“You never should have let me break it the first time,” Gabby said. “I thought you knew better. I thought you were protecting yourself.”
“Like you were?” he accused her.
“Wentworth. . .” Gabby sighed his name, running a finger lightly down the side of his cheek. “Did I really hurt you that bad?”
Wentworth didn’t answer her, he couldn’t. He was trying not to think about what they had once meant to each other. . .what they would never mean to each other again. . .
Clearly, the memories came back to him, assailing him, attacking him. . .he remembered the day when he woke up and realized that Gabrielle was gone. . .it was a cold, lonely morning in January and he was by himself in the bed they’d shared the night before, the same bed they’d made wild, frenzied love in, clinging to each other. . .
I love you, she’d whispered against his lips.
Don’t ever leave me, he’d said, demanding a promise from her. . .
A promise that she hadn’t hesitated to break.
As he’d stared up at the ceiling in the cold, empty bed, he felt as though she’d ripped his heart from his chest and slammed it into the wall.
Shaking the melancholy away, Wentworth said, “The heart is resilient. It always fights back. . .it’s never completely destroyed.”
“Well,” she said. “The heart wants what it wants, right?”
Yeah. . .and his heart wanted her. Desperately.
But, he wasn’t about to tell her that. He’d deal with his heart and its foolish desires later. Tonight, he had to focus on those diamonds.
“Are you going to tell me why you’re here?” he asked.
“OK, I’ll be honest with you,” He heard her say. “I did come here to find the diamonds.”
“Where are they?”
“I don’t have them. . .I don’t know where they are.”
“Why were you looking for them?”
“I was hired to find them.”
“Hired by whom?”
“By the person who lost them.”
“And who would that be?”
“You know, I could ask you the same questions,” Gabby said. “Why are you here looking for diamonds. You don’t need to do this anymore. ‘Prison Break’ is a hit. It’s been nominated for a Golden Globe. . .”
“You think I give a fuck about the Golden Globes?”
“I don’t understand,” Gabby said. “Don’t you have everything you want?”
“No,” Wentworth said, his lips inches from hers. “Not everything. . .”

Bulletproof Love - Part V

Category: , , By Glamour Diva & galaxyMafia

Well. . .galaxyMafia knows it's been a long time, and she's irrevocably sorry. She just got busy with other projects.

I will be finishing this story up soon, and I thank you guys for reading and for thinking it was a pretty decent distraction.

In the last installment, Wentworth and Gabby were battling it out in the kitchen. . .and that is where we still find them. . .

. . .so here we are both are battling similar demons (not coincidentally)
- taken from "The Couch", written and performed by Alanis Morrisette

Gabrielle breathed deeply, trying to get away from him. . .
But, she was so damn tired. . .
She had to get away from him but, he had her pinned again. . .straddling her. . .he was too heavy. . .
Lightning lit the room. . .
He was staring down at her. . .
In the darkness, she felt him on top of her, his chest pressing against hers. . .he relaxed his grip on her wrists. . .the tips of his fingers trailing over her palms. . .he laced his fingers with hers. . .
She gasped. . .
What the hell was he doing. . .
What the hell was she doing? Why was she just laying there. . .why wasn’t she getting the hell away from him. . .?
“I don’t want to fight any more. . .”
His voice was deep, hypnotic. . .his lips inches away from hers. . .
she kissed him. . .unzipping his pants, slipping her hand –

“Just tell me who hired you. . .”
Wentworth’s mouth was next to her ear. . .she smelled good. . .she smelled. . .
Right. . .he couldn’t explain it. . .the scent of her was exciting and tragic, spicy. . .
It made him think of blood for some reason.
he bent his head, kissing her neck, her collar bone

Gabrielle closed her eyes. . .
as he kissed her
. . .moving her body suggestively beneath the man who only moments before had slammed his fist into her face. . .
she arched against him
. . .the man who before that had tried to kill her. . .
Now was the time to bring her knee up hard against his balls. Instead, she was. . .
What was she doing? Moving under him, rubbing against him like some dumb bitch in heat. . .
He’d lied to her, left her for dead. . .
For some reason, it didn’t seem to matter.

Wentworth hesitated.
Beneath him, she was more aggressive. . .he could hear her breathing, whispery pants, could feel her breasts rising, falling quickly. . .
Did she realize what she was doing? Was this her plan of escape? Getting him so aroused that he couldn’t think straight before she sucker punched him. . .
He was confused, suspended.
What the hell was going on? Was he, or was he not trying to find out about the goddamn diamonds? Wasn’t that why he was here, in this dark, humid, stuffy house.
She moved again, and for an instant, he couldn’t remember why he was there, he didn’t care why he was there. . .
He wanted Gabby, wanted to be inside of her –
Stop it, he told himself. Just calm the fuck down. . .take some deep breaths. . .
It was the heat getting to him, the heat and the darkness. . .the combination was making him crazy, giving him ridiculous, haphazard, illogical thoughts.
He knew he couldn’t make love to Gabby, even though he wanted to. . .
A minute ago, they’d been fighting. . .she’d kicked him in the fucking head!
She’d kicked him in the gut, she’d slapped him, scratched, spit in his face. . .
Then why did he feel as if none of that mattered?

“Let me up. . .” Gabrielle demanded.
“Tell me who hired you. . .”
“Tell me who hired you to stop me?” She asked.
“What are you doing here? How’d you get in?”
“I had a key,” Gabrielle told him
“Who gave it to you?”
“I can’t tell you that.”
“What were you looking for?”
“What makes you think I was looking for something.”
“Don’t fuck around with me. . .did you come here for the diamonds?” Wentworth asked her.
“Did you?” She said, turning the question on him.

Gabrielle relaxed under the length of him.
He was warm. . .almost comforting.
“Do you have the fucking diamonds, or not?” He asked her.
“What if I do?” She gave him a smile he couldn’t see.
“Then I’m afraid you’re going to have to give them to me.”
“Then I’m afraid you’re going to have to try to take them from me. . .and I don’t think you can manage that.”
“You think I won’t kill you.”
“I don’t think you know how.”
She felt his hands slide around her neck. . .huge and rough.
“I could break your neck. . .” His voice was a caress across her lips.
“Just like I broke your heart. . .”

copyright 2005. . .galaxyMafia. . .promises not to drag this damn story out!!

bulletproof love - IV

Category: , , By Glamour Diva & galaxyMafia

Hey everybody. . .galaxyMafia apologizes for not putting the fourth installment of "Bulletproof Love" on the blog last week. Not that this is an excuse but, let's just say that GM had serf duties at the old Barnes and Noble that she could not lie, cheat, steal or kill her way out of. (Go Barnes and Noble Strangler!! Hey C.C. - we're gonna be on the Today Show, I promise!)

Anyhoo. . .we last meet, Went and Gabby were still fighting and turning each other on. . .and not exactly in that order. Gabby also had just jumped over the balcony railing. . .

Wentworth stared down at the pool in disbelief. . .
She hadn’t just jumped over the railing down into the pool, had she?
Had she?
But, she had. . .it was true. . .because he saw her in the water, gasping for air, swimming across the pool. . .pulling herself out of the pool. . .dropping to her knees before dragging herself across the courtyard. . .
And he knew. . .this time, she was headed out the front door.
Turning, he ran back towards the glass doors he’d shot.

The drop from the railing down into the pool was a little more than 15 feet, and Gabrielle was paying for it.
After struggling to swim across the pool, using arms and legs that felt as if they had broken as soon as she'd hit the surface of the water, she managed somehow to pull herself out of the pool, where she promptly collapsed on the courtyard, and rolled over onto her back, trying to draw giant gulps of air into her burning lungs. . .
And now, when she really had to, she couldn't move.
She told herself to get the fuck up. . .she couldn't just lay out there, a clear, open target for that bastard. . .she needed to move. . .
But, she couldn't. . .
That crazy sonofabitch up there was going to find his gun, he was going to aim it at her, put three or four holes in her. . .
. . .the police found his body. . .
She turned away, unable to face him, his questions, his suspicions
. . .he was shot three times. . .
Three? He was shot three times. . .are you, are they sure. . .
What do you mean are they sure? They found his body. . .there were three gunshot wounds in his chest. . .
No. . .no memories, not now!
And none of this bullshit about laying there paralyzed. . . she didn't care how bad her arms hurt, how sore her legs were. . .what was going to happen was, she was going to get up and get out of that house. . .now. . .she wasn't sticking around to greet Went when he came down to kill her. . .
She took a deep breath, dragging herself up onto her knees. . .her body protested, and she groaned. . .but, her body would get over it. . .once she got out of the house, she could head back to the place she'd rented, crawl in bed and slip into a coma.
But, now. . .she had to move.

His flash light lost, Wentworth ran though the darkness, down the stairs into the gallery, taking a sharp left, hurrying through the hall that lead into the dining room.
As he passed the wide opening into the foyer, he looked to his left. The front doors were closed. . .he didn’t think she’d made it to the front of the house yet. . .and unless he was wrong, and she’d decided to exit via some other room at the rear of the house, he suspected that he would catch her in the Butler’s Pantry, or the kitchen. . .
Catch her. . .
Wentworth wasn’t sure that he could. . .and if he did, would he be able to contain her. . .
He felt as if he were doing more than chasing Gabby. . .
He was hunting her, tracking her scent. . .
Snap the fuck out of it, Went, he scolded himself. He wasn’t some goddamn big game hunter, seeking some kind of elusive, wild animal. . .all he needed was to stop Gabby, and find out who’d hired her to steal the diamonds, that’s all they’d hired him to do. . .
Still, the thought of seeing her, touching her, colliding with her again made his heart slam against his chest. . .it was more than anticipation. . .
Wentworth wanted another encounter with her. . .
It was more like a frantic longing. . .
He remembered the way she’d fought him. . .the fierce way she’d bucked beneath him. . .

Gabrielle walked down the dark hall, staying close to the wall, holding her hands out in front of her.
Her backpack, her flash light. . .she didn’t know where they were, when she’d lost them.
She stopped to lean against the wall, catch her breath. . .she was shivering, still wet from the pool. . .the tight black pants and T-shirt clung to her body, weighing her down. . .her hair was plastered against her scalp and neck. . .
Behind her, in the darkness. . .she heard nothing, she felt no presence. . .Went hadn’t followed her. . .
Then where the hell was he?
Waiting for her. . .setting his trap. . .what did he have planned, what would she unsuspectingly walk into. . .
No. . .
Gabrielle pushed away from the wall, moving forward again. . .
It wouldn’t be unsuspecting. . .
She would know Went was there. . .even though it was dark, even though she couldn’t see her hands in front of her. . .
He’d touched her, and she knew him, instinctively, she would always know when he was there. . .next to her, across from her, surrounding her, behind her. . .
Gabrielle paused. . .
Went was coming closer to her. . .she could almost feel him. . .
The electricity in her veins told her, and she knew, without a doubt, that her heart was beating fiercely not because of fear. . .she wasn’t afraid. . .
She was anticipating. . .

It happened in the kitchen. . .
Her fragrance slid around Wentworth. . .she was there. . .waiting for him, ready to strike, to defend, to hurt him and enjoy it. . .
Wentworth tensed. . .his hands trembling slightly. . .

Gabrielle could feel his presence, the galvanized air. . .the electric current snaking through her gut. . .
She held her breath, taking a step backwards, trying to discern his shape in the darkness.

Wentworth took a step forward, preparing himself. . .
He heard thunder. . .
Lightning flashed. . .and for a second, the entire kitchen was bathed in blinding, white light. . .and he saw her. . .less than a foot away from him, glaring at him, wet and fierce. . .
Quickly, darkness reclaimed the kitchen. . .Wentworth reached out for her. . .his fingertips settling upon her smooth cheek. . .moving down over her lips. . .
She kicked him in the gut.
He doubled over, coughing, gasping for air. . .

Gabrielle turned, started to run. . .
He grabbed a handful of her hair, yanked her back. . .
She hit the solidness of his chest before he spun her around. . .his fist met the center of her face. . .
Gabrielle cried out, dazed, stumbling against him. . .

Wentworth grabbed her. . .felt her foot behind his calf. . .
She clipped him, and he fell to the floor. . .
He tried to scramble up. . .she kicked him in the side, near his kidney. He yelled out as she stepped on his chest, kicked the side of his head. . .

Her face throbbing in pain, Gabrielle kicked him again. . .
Sonofabitch! Hitting her in the goddamn face! Who the hell did he think he was? Who did he think she was? Did he think he could slap her around a few times and make her behave?
Did the bastard –
He grabbed her foot, yanked it, sending her crashing to the kitchen floor. . .

Wentworth was on top of her instantly, fighting off her wild hands, grabbing her throat.
Her body jerked violently beneath his as she tried to get away. . .
She sank her nails into his face, scratching him. . .he grabbed her hands to stop her and pushed her arms down, over her head, holding her wrists down. . .

Bulletproof Love III

Merry Christmas. . .especially to our friend and faithful reader Donna (forgive me Donna if I am assuming. . .galaxyMafia often gets above her station) and to the good gals down at the Church of Wentworth Miller. . .how were the services this year? You crafty lasses are goin' to the Dickens in a handbasket but galaxyMafia has a feeling y'all don't mind all that much. . .

So. . .here's the third installment in the continuing saga of Wenty-Fresh and the lovely Gabby U.

Gabrielle struggled under him, her face flaming.
“Get the fuck off me!”
“What are you doing here?” He asked, grabbing her wrists, pinning them down against the stone. She looked up at him. . .the moonlight shadowed his features but, still she could see his eyes. . .icy, pale green-blue. . .penetrating. . .the lashes long, the lids heavy, half-closed, luminous. . .the way he was looking at her. . .she knew what he was thinking, she could feel his erection, huge, heavy against her abdomen. . .
She wanted to be disgusted by him. . .he’d shot at her, slapped her. . .
Instead, like some kind of sadistic tramp, she felt her body responding. . .
Just like the old days when they were together. . .
“Get off me!” She screamed at him, twisting her body. “Now!”

Wentworth wished she would stop writhing beneath him.
“Be still. . .” He told her, his voice lowered.
“Get off of me.”
“Who hired you, Gabby?” He asked her.
“Who hired you?” She turned the question around on him.
He stared at her. . .she was beautiful. . .and even more frightening, much more exciting because she was more uncontrollable, more tempestuous that he remembered. . .he hesitated, unsure of what to do. . .should he let her up. . .he didn’t know. . .for some reason, he liked the feeling of having her trapped beneath him. . .

“Please. . .” Gabrielle said, deciding to try another tactic. . .
Maybe being a demanding bitch was pissing him off. . .she knew he preferred a demur, delicate woman, too preoccupied with her manicure and her make-up to fight for her life. . .she knew from experience that he liked her to be a willing submissive he could control. . .
“If you get off me. . .then we can talk,” She told him. “This concrete is killing my ass. . .”
He gave her a dubious look. “Are you armed?”
“No. . .”
Another skeptical look.
“If I had a gun, Went,” she said, smiling. “You’d have a bullet in your head right now.”
His eyes narrowed yet he still seemed unconvinced.
“Would you like to pat me down?” She asked, her gaze lascivious, hoping to catch him with his guard down. . .
His look told her that he wanted to do much more than just pat her down, and once again, she felt herself responding. . .the warmth, the tingle between her legs. . .
But, then the look changed. . .he became serious again, all business. . .
“This is my promise to you,” He said. “If you try anything. . .I’ll shoot you.”
“Do you always keep your promises?”
Reluctantly, he rose up, swinging his leg over her, standing up, helping her to her feet. Gabrielle kept her eyes on the gun in his hand, hanging by his side. . .
“Now, who the hell hired you?”
Dusting herself off, Gabrielle smiled. “After what you did to me do you think I’d be stupid enough to trust you again?”
He smiled at her. “Are you still mad about that?”
“Am I still mad? Do you honestly think I can forgive you for leaving me to die there alone, you bastard!” Gabrielle scowled as she kicked his wrist, sending the gun flying across the sun deck behind him.
He lunged at her, trying to grab her with his uninjured hand. Gabrielle side-stepped him, delivered a stinging right hook to his chiseled, square jaw and cried out, shaking her throbbing hand. She looked past him at the door that lead into the dressing room. . .
She tried to run around him but he anticipated her move, and blocked her. She tried again, and again, he blocked her.
“Where are you gonna go?” He asked, smiling.
Gabrielle didn’t know. . .he wasn’t going to let her get into the door. . .behind her, the railing along the sun deck was four-feet high. . .below the railing was the pool and courtyard. . .she should have taken them up on their offer to provide her with equipment. She could use a damn grappling hook right now. . .
But, in the absence of one. . .and with Went set to tackle her, wrestle her to the ground. . .and maybe even try to have his way with her, what other choice did she have. . .
Sometimes. . .you have to protect yourself. . .
She didn’t need his words in her head right now. . .she couldn’t deal with them, she had to concentrate, figure out her next move. . .
“You’re not leaving until I say you can leave,” he said. “So you might as well tell me. . .who hired you. . .” Gabrielle took a deep breath. “Sorry. . .I’m not allowed to talk to assholes who lied to me.”
She grabbed the top of the railing, pushed herself upon it, swinging her legs over it, and jumped down into the pool, before she had a chance to think about what she was doing, before she had a chance to talk herself out of it. . .

Bulletproof Love - II

"Bulletproof Love"

. . .when we last left, Wentworth had discovered that Gabby was in the mansion. . .Gabby kicked Wentworth in the gut and in response, Wentworth pulled out a gun. . .

The gunshot was loud.
. . .deafening, explosive. . .
Gabrielle dropped to the floor on her hands and knees, crawled to the double doors. Now the sonofabitch was shooting at her!
Gabrielle reached up, pushing the doors open. . .two bullets slammed into the left side of the door, shattering the teak, splinters of wood raining down upon her. Rolling across the marble floor into the gallery, she sprang to her feet and ran straight ahead into a hallway, and up a flight of stairs. . .
Shit!
Halfway to the top, she realized she’d made the wrong move. . .the bullets had caused her to panic. . .she should have run to her left when she’d reached the gallery, and then headed back towards the foyer. . .
Now she was going back upstairs. . .damn it. . .!
And she couldn’t go back down. . .he was right behind her. . .

Wentworth pushed through the drawing room doors and ran into the hallway, wondering why she was headed back upstairs. . .why hadn’t she gone towards the front door. . .as he ran towards the stairway she’d just sprinted up, he wondered if Gabby might have a big surprise waiting for him at the top of the stairs. . .would there be a bullet waiting to hit him between his eyes, or a flaming Molotov cocktail tossed in his face. . .?
Quickly but, cautiously, he jogged up the steps, his nine millimeter leading the way. . .

At the top of the stairs, Gabrielle went down a hall to her right and into a bedroom.
There was a walkway that lead into the bathroom, and from the bathroom, glass doors opened out to the sun deck overlooking the pool in the courtyard below. . .
If she made it across the sun deck, there was a door leading into the dressing room of the master suite she could go into. . .and then she could head back downstairs. . .
As she opened the glass doors, she felt the absence of the nine millimeter against her ankle. . .she knew she should have brought it. . .
I won’t need this. . .
Went was following her. . .he would be in the bedroom in minutes. . .if she’d had the gun, all she would’ve had to do was hide in the closet and wait for him. . .a couple of rounds into his thigh would put him down long enough for to get the hell out of there. . .
But she’d told them she wouldn’t need it because. . .
He slumped to the floor, gasping, clawing at his chest.
The glass door shattered behind her. . .
Her scream was drowned out by the thunder. . .chunks of glass slammed against her back. . .a glass shard piercing the back of her neck. . .she ran. . .if she could make it across the sun deck. . .

“Stop!” Wentworth called out.
Shit! He didn’t want to shoot her. . .
But, he knew Gabby. . .she was a crazy, fearless bitch. She’d always been under the impression that she could outrun his bullets. . .
He took off after her, yelling at her to stop.

Gabrielle ran faster.
Did Went think she was crazy. . .that she would actually stop so it would be easier for him shove that gun in her mouth and blow her head off?
No fucking way. . .she was close now. . .she was close to the door that lead into the master suite dressing room. . .if she could get there –
Something heavy slammed into her, knocking the breath from her. . .and then she was tripping on something. . .losing her balance. . .falling. . .something was around her neck.
“Don’t move, Gabby!” he growled in her ear.
His forearm was around her, and they were falling. . .crashing to the ground. . .
Gabrielle fell on her side, her face hitting the stone, scraping the skin on the side of her face. . .the asshole still holding on to her. . .the lightning flashing. . .they rolled together across the sun deck. . .over, and on top of each other, under, and around each other. . .
Gabrielle fought, scratching and kicking, clawing at him, trying to get away, trying to break his hold. . .

Wentworth held on to her as if his life depended on it. . .
Damn, she was strong. . .he moved his head back, trying to avoid her hands as she scratched him, and slapped at his face. . .
“Stop moving!” He told her.
“Fuck you!” She spit in his face.
“Bitch!” Wentworth struggled on top of her, straddling her, slapping her hard, twice.
For a moment, she seemed stunned, and she stopped moving. . .
Wentworth stared down at her. . .the clouds had moved and the moon was visible, casting light across her face. . .her swollen, half-parted lips, her fierce deep, creamy chocolate eyes, blazing at him, her hair, wild and tousled. . .for an instant, he wasn’t sure if he wanted to shoot her, or fuck her. . .
She moved beneath him, the shock of his slaps wearing off, and Wentworth was suddenly, painfully aware of his erection. . .he was angry, annoyed. . .he should be controlling Gabby, demanding answers from her, making her tell him where the diamonds were and instead, he was getting aroused. . .
But. . .wasn’t that always his reaction whenever Gabby was around?

Bulletproof Love

For those of you having "Prison Break" withdrawls. . .here is a true story about Wentworth Miller and Gabrielle Union. And by true, galaxyMafia means that she believes it could happen.

"Bulletproof Love" by galaxyMafia

At half an hour to midnight, Gabrielle Union turned onto the private road leading towards the mansion, gripping the wheel of the Mercedes, speeding over the tree-lined, gravel road. It was dark out, the moon eclipsed by thick, heavy storm clouds. She parked the car at the front door, grabbed her backpack and reached down to secure the nine millimeter in the ankle holster strapped to her right calf. . .
Only the gun wasn’t there – it would never be there again. . .
I won’t need this
Take it anyway.
Gabrielle shook the memory away, and got out of the car.
A resentful, melancholy washed over her but, she refused to give into it. Sure, her marriage was in the toilet and her television show, “Nightstalker”, had been cancelled by ABC last month but, she would be fine. . .she’d get through it.
And this too shall pass, she thought.
Now that she was an out-of-work actress again, she’d been forced to go back to the one thing she knew she was good at. . .
Stealing diamonds from people who’d never deserved them in the first place.
And this time, that devious sonofabitch Wentworth Miller wouldn’t stop her.

Outside, the wind had picked up, whipping her hair across her face, and the scent of rain hung in the air. As she closed the door, she heard the distant rumble of thunder.
With the key given to her, Gabrielle entered the mansion, stepping into a wide, expansive foyer. It was stuffy in the house, warm and cloying. They’d told her that the house had been without electrical power since the IRS had come to take everything six months ago.
Adjusting her eyes to the darkness closing in around her, she reached into her backpack and took out a high-powdered flashlight.
Splashing illumination along the deserted, empty hall ahead of her, she headed to the right, into the gallery. Along with the key, she had been given blueprints of the house. Supposedly, the diamonds were hidden in one of the house’s nine bedrooms, although they hadn’t been able to confirm that for her.
Gabrielle walked across the marble floor of the empty drawing room. Recalling the blueprints in her mind, she knew that there were three bedrooms on the first floor.
Wiping perspiration from her neck, Gabrielle hurried through the Drawing Room, heading for the bedrooms on the first floor.

Wentworth Miller had secured a floor plan of the house from the real estate agent who had sold the Palm Beach showplace five years ago.
According to the filed he’d swiped from the agent’s receptionist, an over-sexed, under-dressed sixty-something who’d been too busy trying to indiscreetly flash him peeks of her tits instead of paying attention to him, the house was modeled after an Italian villa, built around a large stone courtyard surrounded by open loggias, and featuring a majestic fountain and pool.
Dressed in black pants, a black T-shirt and black baseball cap, he stopped the gray BMW station wagon he’d rented earlier in the day in front of the stone steps that lead into the laundry room at the rear of the house. He cut the engine, grabbed a flashlight from the glove box, checked the clip in his nine millimeter and got out of the car.
Behind him, the wall of tall trees and flowering shrubs that separated the house from the next estate swayed and rustled in the wind. He stood at the door to the laundry room, pulling a copy of the floor plan from his back pocket, consulting it, asking himself where he would hide loose diamonds, and vaguely wondering if Gabrielle would really be here tonight as they’d warned him she might be. . .
Gabrielle Union. . .
The finest piece of milk chocolate he’d ever had the pleasure of tasting.
It had been five years since their last encounter, when she was the starlet on the rise and he was completing an indentured servitude at Border’s. Now, the tables, as they said, were turned.
Wentworth’s show, on FOX, “Prison Break” was a break-out cult hit, and had garnered him critical praise and slavish adoration from millions of women across the country. Gabby, on the other hand, had experienced a recent reversal of fortune. Her show had been cancelled and he’s heard she was divorcing her husband. . .
Hmmm, Wentworth mused, a wry smile playing at the corner of his lips. Now that Gabby was unencumbered, maybe they could pick up where they never should have left off.
Wentworth picked the lock, opened the door and went inside.
It was hot and dark, musty.
He cut his flashlight on, and looked at the floor plan.
If he went to his right once he exited the laundry room and then followed the long hallway to the kitchen, he could go through the kitchen, continue through a room called the Butler’s Pantry, and then into the Dining Room as he headed over to the east wing of the property, where the bedroom suites were located.

Thunder followed the lightening.
Wentworth went up the staircase, heading towards the master bedroom.
Does the lightening bother you?
You’ll think I’m silly. . .
No, I won’t. . .
I don’t like the thunder. . .

He left the bedroom to the right of the hall and headed across to the opposite bedroom. Half-heartedly, he shined the beam around the room. He was tired, hot, thirsty, frustrated, wondering if he’d made a mistake, wondering if he was in the right house. Maybe the IRS had already come, already taken the diamonds, maybe he was just wasting his fucking time.
He went into the bathroom, wondering why he was searching for the diamonds. It wasn’t like he needed the money. His show was doing well, other projects and endorsement deals were in the works. . .
He sighed. . .
The truth was, he knew exactly why he was looking for the diamonds. . .
Because wherever there were diamonds to steal, there was Gabby. . .
More than anything, he wanted to see Gabby again. . .even though he’d hurt her, even though he’d ruined things between them with his lies, his betrayal. . .
Wentworth stopped at the entrance to the closet. . .

Gabrielle closed the closet door in the master bedroom, and walked across the room to the bathroom.
Lighting flashed, brightening the room, and she jumped, gasping, her heart pounding. . .
Are you afraid of the thunder?
No. . .the lightening sometimes bothers me. . .
Soon after, she felt raindrops against her face as Went pulled her close to him.
Gabrielle closed her eyes for a moment. . .opened them and walked over to the bathroom.
Why the hell was she thinking about that bastard Went?
After what he’d done to her, the only thing she wanted to do was plunge a knife in his chest, and rip out his heart.
Behind the double doors, she checked the toilet, the pipes, the cabinets, the floor for any loose tiles that someone might have put the pouch of diamonds beneath.
Lightening flashed, reflecting in the mirror, and she jumped again as the room was swallowed in darkness again.
She took a step forward. . .something, like a current of electricity, ran through the length of her body, her knees buckled beneath her and she grabbed the basin for support, trying to catch her breath.
Massaging the spot between her eyebrows, she took a deep breath, trying to calm down, shining the flash light in front of her, trying to figure out what the hell had just happened to her. . .
. . .Went was still kissing her. . .
She should have pulled away from him by now. . .he wasn’t supposed to be kissing her, she didn’t want him to kiss her. . .but. . .
It was heady. . .she felt as if he were smothering her, breathing with her. . .it was a current of electricity.
She dropped the flashlight on the tiled floor. . .

What was that. . .?
Wentworth stood inside one of the closets of the master suite.
Had he heard something? Was it the wind again. . .
Lightening flashed again, spilling into the room through the glass doors leading out to the balcony, and then thunder.
Wentworth walked out of the closet, heading slowly towards the bathroom, the beam from his flash light growing dim. . .he stopped, hitting the barrel of the flash light against his palm. . .was the damn thing about to go out. . .?
He shined it on the floor, watching the dimness diminish into darkness. . .

Gabrielle dropped to her knees on the floor in the darkness, taking her backpack off, unzipping it, reaching inside, fishing around for more batteries.
When she’d dropped her flashlight, the battery hold had opened and the batteries had scattered across the floor.
She sighed, continuing to dig in the backpack, trying to calm down, trying to ignore the feeling that there was something in the darkness surrounding her, something watching, something waiting. . .
There’s nothing there, she told herself. . .there was no reason to look over her shoulder. . .she wouldn’t find anything. . .

As he walked closer to the bathroom, the smell intensified. . .
. . .you smell nice. . .
He walked through the damp blanket of darkness. . .until he reached the bathroom.
The smell was stronger. . .and he felt something. . .like energy. . .like. . .

Abandoning her search for the batteries, Gabrielle stood up slowly. . .her heart pounding, her hands trembling. . .
It was so dark. . .almost pitch black. . .she couldn’t adjust her eyes to the blackness. Her fingertips touched the basin and she backed up against it. . .
Was there something there. . .
She opened her mouth. . .but, nothing came out. . .

Wentworth reached out, touched the wall. . .backed himself up against it. . .
It wasn’t just a smell. . .it was a fragrance, swirling around him, inviting and terrifying at the same time. He inched along the wall. . .the air in front of him seemed charged, galvanized somehow. . .
He reached out, his hands settling on the frame of a door. . .

Gabrielle made her way along the edge of the basin. . .telling herself that nothing was there, it was just the lightning, just the thunder. . .she just needed to get out of the bathroom, get out of the house. . .
Just forget about the job. . .forget about the money. . .
She grabbed the door frame, peering into the darkness before her, trying to see as she walked through the doorway, out into the bedroom. . .

Wentworth walked through a doorway.
Trying his flash light again, he smacked it against his palm. . .dim light flickered. . .it was a weak illumination but, it was enough light to see the copy of the floor plan. . .and a few minutes later, he regained his bearings and figured out that he was in the dressing room of the master suite. . .

Gabrielle stopped in the middle of the room, checking her backpack once again. . .
Within minutes, her hand closed around the package of batteries. She opened the batteries, worked them into the flash light and cut it on, splaying light around the room in chaotic arcs, trying to remember where she was, looking for. . .
Looking for what. . .?
The goddamn boogey man?
Chiding herself, she headed out of the master suite. As she passed the closet, she slowed down a bit. . .
The closet door was open. . .
Hadn’t she closed it. . .?

With the dim flash light, Wentworth looked around the dressing room, realizing that he’d wasted his time, that he was too late, that he had been lied to. . .
The diamonds weren’t here. . .
And neither was Gabby. . .
It didn’t matter that he hadn’t found the diamonds. . .but, he was disappointed that he hadn’t encountered Gabrielle. . .
Tired, and hot, he decided he would go back to his hotel room at the Breakers, take a hot shower, get some sleep and maybe in the morning, Gabby would be out of his head. . .
Sighing, he left the master suite, heading down the stairs. . .

Gabrielle opened the double doors to the drawing room, and closed them behind her, walking toward the opposite set of doors that lead out to the gallery.

Wentworth opened the doors to the drawing room, staring ahead of him. . .
Was that. . .?

Gabrielle froze, hearing the doors behind her opening. . .
Someone was there. . .behind her. . .
She turned, looking over her shoulder. . .

The light was dim but, Wentworth could still make her out, as he shined the flash light on her. . .
Gabrielle. . .less than twenty feet ahead of him, staring back at him.
He called out to her.
She started to run.
Wentworth took off after her. . .he had to get to her before she got out of the drawing room. . .he had to catch her. .
Gabby was less than a foot away from the doors heading out of the drawing room when Wentworth caught up with her, grabbing her backpack, pulling her back against him.

Gabrielle screamed, trying to struggle away from Went. . .
Why wasn’t she surprised to see that asshole. . .?
“Get your goddamn hands off me!” Gabrielle yelled, slamming her elbow into Went’s gut. She heard him grunt, and his hold on her relaxed a bit as he tried to recover.
Pushing away from him, Gabrielle raised her leg, punching the heel of her foot against his abdomen once. . .twice. . .landing another kick in the center of his chest, sending him sprawling back, failing his arms, tripping over his own feet, stumbling to the floor.

Wentworth couldn’t breathe. . .he couldn’t fucking breathe. . .
That bitch. . .
Damn, was she still that pissed off at him. . .? That last kick she’d given him, he was sure one of his goddamn lungs was punctured. . . Staggering to his feet, gasping for air. . .Wentworth reached around behind him, pulled his nine millimeter from the waistband of his jeans and fired a shot after her. . .
